1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using LineChange (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service. We may update these terms from time to time, and continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any changes.

2. Description of Service

LineChange is a free online tool for creating hockey lineup cards, roster sheets, and related content. The Service includes lineup building, export functionality, public sharing, and audio announcement features. It also includes an optional app inside ChatGPT that can draft lines from a roster you type there and open the same draft on this website. Section 5 describes that app.

3. User Accounts

You must create an account to use certain features. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activities that occur under it. You must provide accurate and complete information during registration.

4. User Content

You retain ownership of all content you create using the Service (team data, player information, lineup configurations). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content as necessary to provide the Service.

5. The LineChange app in ChatGPT

When the app is available, ChatGPT can call a public address on our site, https://www.linechange.app/mcp, to draft lines or to explain how lines are set. You do not need a LineChange account to see a draft. The tools are read-only. They do not read your LineChange account or anyone else's. They do not save a team, send a message, or publish a share link. Nothing is stored in a LineChange account until you sign up or log in and save it yourself.

• You are responsible for the information you type into ChatGPT. For a youth player, a first name or initials, a jersey number, and a position are enough. Do not send birth dates, addresses, school names, phone numbers, email addresses, government identification numbers, or health information.
• ChatGPT is operated by OpenAI. OpenAI's Terms of Use (https://openai.com/policies/terms-of-use) and Privacy Policy (https://openai.com/policies/privacy-policy) govern your use of ChatGPT, including the conversation where you typed the roster. These LineChange terms govern our lineup address and the page that opens the draft.
• The draft is carried in the link that opens LineChange. Anyone with that link can view that draft. The draft is in the fragment of that link, which your browser does not send to our servers. The link can remain in your browser history. Our Privacy Policy explains what we do not store and how to ask us to delete account data we do hold.
• We may refuse or limit requests to the lineup address, including a limit of 30 requests per minute from one IP address. You may not use the address to try to read another person's roster, lineup, or account.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Upload harmful, offensive, or misleading content
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Use automated tools to scrape or access the Service
• Use the ChatGPT lineup address to try to read another person's roster, lineup, or account

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, its design, features, and content (excluding user-generated content) are owned by LineChange. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without written permission.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LineChange shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms or for any other reason. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
